SRS Enrollment Criteria
To become part of the SRS Registry, patients must meet certain criteria, as found below. Some exclusions do apply.
All patients who are eligible for SRS treatments for qualifying conditions, and who meet the inclusion criteria, should be enrolled with consideration given to a center’s ability to collect comprehensive six- and 12-month follow-up information, including imaging, for each enrolled patient. Patients are enrolled prospectively and registry data elements include direct responses from patients, in addition to clinical observations.
Inclusion Criteria
- Patients undergoing stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) for an intracranial target, by physicians, will be eligible for inclusion.
- Eligible conditions are primary cranial tumors, brain metastasis and arteriovenous malformations.
- Patients will be identified from clinical radiosurgery schedules at the participating sites.
Exclusion Criteria
- Patients with an expected survival of under two months, or who are not expected to participate in follow-up of at least two months, are ineligible.
- Patients treated with SRS for trigeminal neuralgia are excluded from the registry.
- Individuals who are unable or unwilling to participate in a patient registry, or in serial follow-up assessments as described in the schedule of activities, will be excluded.
Because of the high degree of automation for data collection, institutions wishing to participate in the registry must meet the hardware and software compatibility requirements that complement the Quentry for SRS® platform.
Patient Follow Up
In all cases, individual patient follow-up intervals are determined by physicians and are based on the patient’s diagnoses, condition and treatment plan. Follow-up events include imaging and the use of specialized software to gauge patients’ response to SRS treatments.
Depending on the disease, some conditions may require a three-month follow-up visit after the index SRS and the second visit may not be expected to occur until a year later. Therefore, the six-month follow-up window is generally three to seven months after the index SRS, while the 12-month follow-up appointment could take place between 12 and 15 months post-SRS.
